In recognizing the contribution of teachers to the community, CODE commemorated Teachers’ day to celebrate their work and discuss various issues concerning teacher’s development, and teacher’s attrition with the theme of “The Teachers We Need for the Education We want: The Global Imperative to Reverse the Teacher Shortage”.
On this auspicious occasion, OCODE organized a series of activities and gestures to honor our teachers and express our gratitude for their tireless efforts. One of the highlights of our celebration is the distribution of special gifts to our esteemed teachers as they have dedicated themselves to shaping the lives of our students and making a positive impact in our community

A teacher from Malambamawili, Flora Msigwa asked the government and education stakeholders to provide various trainings for teachers with the aim of improving quality of education to government schools “I would like to call on the Government to consider on the shortage of teachers to our schools which hinder the performance students”. She said.
Teachers were inquired to possibly include life skills while teaching to enable the students to acquire other skills that will helps students to build confidence in both communication and cooperative & collaborative skills, provide them with tools important for development, find new ways of thinking and problem-solving.
“Life skills equip individuals with the knowledge, attitudes, and abilities necessary to navigate and thrive in various aspects of life. While academic knowledge is certainly important, life skills complement and enhance traditional education by focusing on practical skills and personal development. Even when students failed on formal education he/she can navigate to something else to become respected member in the society” Said Gaudence Kapinga, RELI Tanzanian National Facilitator.
